Nayantara has played the role of journalist in the movie Thalaimagan. The movie has Sarath Kumar doing the lead role and the movie was released for Diwali. The movie is action packed with the right amount of comedy and romance. Sarath Kumar works as a reporter for a newspaper run by Vijaya Kumar. They publish the news that is truth and do not care about the risk that they take for the sake of making the people realize the truth about the happenings in the society. Sarath Kumar by going a step ahead also punishes the wrong doers in the society and thus the politicians and cops are very much angry to take revenge on him. Nayantara completes her studies in journalism and also joins as a reporter in the newspaper with Sarath Kumar. Sarath Kumar has handled the stunt sequences very perfectly and also the climax is very interesting in the movie. Mukesh Tiwari and Seema Biswas have played the role of villains in the movie. Vadivelu has played the role of colleague of Sarath Kumar and brings in laughter.
